This pistachio doughnut from The Doughnut Plant (which I first visited with my Dad last summer) was literally almost as big as Mikayla’s head. I only had one bite but it was super soft and sweet, just the way a yeast doughnut should be, and the nuts sprinkled on top added a nice crunch. It almost melted in my mouth and the pistachio flavor was prominent without being too intense. Pistachio is usually not my favorite flavor for dessert but after this doughnut I’m beginning to reconsider.
